Because we have a free will to choose right from wrong, the coming Anti-Christ is a form of judgment on an unbelieving world that has rejected Christ as king and therefore gets the king they deserve. We as believers in Christ are not meant to be scared but prepared and this is a time to get busy and bring in souls before all this happens.
