Childrens Work

Vine Children's Work

We are pleased to welcome new children and their families to Vine Church Children’s Gangs.

Our children’s Gangs are for all children from age 1 to those in Primary 7. Our Gang’s operate during the message part of the service and we enjoy bible stories, games, toys, craft, prayer, worship, snacks and lots of fun together.

All our leaders are committed to sharing Jesus with the children and want the children to have lots of fun.

We have a special bible verse for Gangs it is Hebrews 12 verse 1 and 2

“.. So let us run the race that is set before us fixing our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith “

In gangs we are helping the children run the race set before them, we want to show them how to fix their eyes on Jesus and to live out their faith in the world. The children teach us a lot about this too.

We would love to welcome your children into our Gangs. Our children’s desk is in the main foyer on Sunday mornings. As you come in the main doors you will come into the foyer and you will see the children’s desk on the right hand side.

Please ask us for a consent form so we can register your child and be aware of any allergies or special needs.  Or you can download and print off a consent form here and hand it in at the children’s desk.

For more information please contact Mike and Claire Fisher or email us on vinekids@thevinechurch.com

Little Mustard Seeds is a Sunday morning club for ages 0 up to 4 years old.

There’s singing, Bible stories, the occasional craft and lots of playing!

  In Matthew 17:20 it says:

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

We hope to raise our own kids to believe that nothing is impossible with God and have therefore called the club “Little Mustard Seeds”. We have faith that the seeds that are planted in the little ones on a Sunday morning will take root and keep them in relationship with God as they grow up.

We are looking forward to seeing how God grows the little mustard seeds… both the kids and the club!

Little Mustard Seeds is led by Hannah and Bethan, it is designed to nurture faith in the tiniest of tots. Children enjoy songs and bible stories, followed by snack and free play. We have a team of wonderful mum volunteers and you are more than welcome to stay with your child or they can be signed in while you stay in the service. Babies under 1 must be accompanid by a parent/carer. For more information or any questions please see Hannah or Bethan.

Commitment to Safeguarding Statement

The Vine Church is committed to the nurturing , protection and safekeeping of all, especially children and young people. We are committed to supporting, resourcing and training those who work with children and young people and to providing supervision.

We recognise the need to provide a safe and caring environment for children, young people and adults at risk. We acknowledge that children, young people and adults at risk can be the victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and neglect.

We accept the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the various International rights Conventions, which states that everyone is entitled to

“all the rights and freedoms set forth therein, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status”.

We also agree with the Convention on the Rights of the Child which states that children should be able to develop their full potential, free from hunger and want, neglect and abuse. They have a right to be protected from

“all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse, while in the care of parent(s), legal guardian(s), or any other person who has care of the child.”

We have therefore adopted the procedures set out in our Safeguarding Policy in accordance with statutory guidance. We are committed to build constructive links with statutory and all other agencies involved in safeguarding.

The leadership supports the Safeguarding Officers in their work and in any action they may need to take in order to protect children and adults at risk.

The Safeguarding officers are Sally Kelly and Claire Fisher who are happy to answer any questions . All workers with children, youth and vulnerable adults  undergo mandatory training every two years either in person or on line.

The Vine Church Safeguarding Policy is stored in the Church office and anyone can ask to read it on request
