“12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:1-2
Know your place:
Know your position in Him. No matter the location you find yourself in, your position is in him. This is the joy set before us. We can persevere.
Find your race:
We are all different parts of the body. We all have our own race. But we all are needed. We work and we live and we love together. No one is more important or less important. We all play our part. I have a part you have a part. But let’s not stay apart.
Run with Grace:
Humility and gentleness are really powerful. They protect us from strife, conflict, offence or even defensive and negative behaviours. They can root out unforgiveness in our hearts. All the things which hinder our race – or hinder the races of others. How WE run matters to ALL of us. We’re in this together.
