The voice can only reproduce what the ear can hear.
The reason human beings struggle with a voice of grace, with a voice of love, with a voice of affirmation, with a voice of encouragement, with a voice of gentleness is that it’s not hearing any of these things on a regular, consistent, daily basis. Yet if the ear starts to hear a steady stream of heavenly words of grace, of love, of affirmation, of encouragement and of gentleness then it will be able to bring a voice of heaven and release that voice on earth. The song of heaven will be sung on earth. The kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven and then His will be done!
But the voice can only reproduce what the ear can hear. What is the loudest voice that you hear? That will be the voice that you communicate. All of us need to find our unique voice to the world but it first starts with hearing His voice.
“Nothing has the potential to change your life like the whisper of God. Nothing will determine your destiny more than your ability to hear His still small voice. That’s how you discern the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
That’s how you see and seize divine appointments.
That’s how God-sized dreams are birthed.
That’s how miracles happen.”
Inspired by the book “Whisper” by Mark Batterson we will be learning about how to hear from God.
“Is God’s voice the loudest voice in your life? That’s the question.”
“Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.”
