Healing Community
Confess to and Pray For One Another
Last week we started a series on the One Anothers in the Bible looking at what is Biblical community? In the New Testament we see one another commands such as Love One Another, Forgive One Another, Serve One Another, Pray for One Another, Encourage One Another etc.
In today’s message we will discover that God intends for us to live in and experience community, connection and compassion in which we can be open and vulnerable with one another. Fear and shame causes us to live in isolation with secrets that keep us locked up and healthy. When we find true courage to connect, confess and pray in community we can find a healing for our shame and soul that is deeper than we have ever experienced before.
“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
James 5:16
